14. States Bound

Original quote from US Constitutional Amendments: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." Although the 13-15th Amendments were ostensibly to end slavery and racial discrimination by government, it has been suggested that the tricky wording here (e.g. jurisdiction, privileges, immunities, etc. instead of rights) was really designed to enslave everyone in a new corporate UNITED STATES. Naturally, since we're trying to make a good Constitution here, we won't allow that interpretation. So:

If this country for which this Constitution is written has multiple levels of government, then each state, province, district, county, city, or other political subdivision of this country is bound by this Constitution as is this country as a whole, in terms of respecting the rights of the individual.
